Records are superseded, never deleted. Every field names the public registry it came from or the engine that read it, with a source URL and a read-by label. Blank is blank: nothing is inferred. A rendered example is on the home page: a real issuer record from the Canada node, showing legal name, ticker, ISIN, LEI, sector, incorporation jurisdiction, head office, transfer agent, auditor, newswire of habit and SEDAR+ profile, each with its source and its reader. ## Why it exists Investment dealers, banks and brokers carry a continuing legal duty to know every product they shelve: KYP (know your product) under NI 31-103 in Canada, product governance in the United Kingdom and under MiFID II in the European Union, reasonable-basis suitability in the United States, the Design and Distribution Obligations (DDO) in Australia, product due diligence under MAS rules in Singapore, and FinSA in Switzerland. Today that duty is discharged with PDFs and analyst hours. A signed, current Capital Markets Record over MCP discharges it for the compliance function and for the AI agents that function now runs. Continuous disclosure, insider filings, early-warning filings and issuer identity are read from public registries and carried as facts with dates and locations. ## The Capital Markets Knowledge Graph Issuers are nodes. Edges are insiders across boards, holders across names, shared auditors and transfer agents, parent and subsidiary, dual listings across markets, sector peers, and the newswire each issuer actually uses.
